Keeping My Human Occupied

March 30, 2020 By: Summer Samba33 Comments

Summer is having a hard time keeping her human occupied during the Covid-19 shelter in place order.

How is everyone doing with their humans at home all the time? Since mine already works at home, you’d think things would be pretty normal here. But since she can’t really go anywhere and has cut way down on her shopping trips, she is kind of bored! And you know who has to keep her entertained around here, and no, it is not Boodie!

The photo sessions, I don’t mind. In fact, I enjoy those. And I love the training sessions. But then she wants me to play, but she keeps picking out the wrong times. It’s not like I don’t want to play, but not right after a nap, or when I’m waiting for dinner.

I think she spends half her time wandering around the house looking for “good natural light opportunities.” Like when the sun came in the turret windows, casting these dramatic shadows. It didn’t matter what I was doing, I had to pose right then and there.

And then she brought out the toy again. I decided to humor her by showing interest in it for a couple of minutes. Did I mention dinner was late because of this photo shoot?

I’d rather be out and about, too, and not stuck at home! But for now, here we are.

What are you doing to keep your human occupied? Are they starting to get on your nerves?

Humans can be rather demanding can’t they at times? Tee hee hee. My mom wasn’t feeling well for awhile so I stayed by her side a lot to help her heal. Dad’s been working from home, but sisfurs make sure he takes breaks from time to time. Purr purr purr.

I love having Pop working from home. TW used to take walks every day but it seems she hasn’t gone out in over a week. I need my “me” time when she goes out.

Good that you are trying to be patient with all the EXTRA attention having your Human home has brought. My Mom and Dad are stay-at-homers so I see them LOTS already. I’m ok with that though – they are letting me go outside a lot more than usual. I’m all for that!

    Hugs, Teddy

Our mom’s been home for as long as we’ve been here, so there’s no change there. She’s going a little batty, though.

We find its a big job keeping our two peeps amused. I, Pipo love to reach out and grab one or the other to demand a scritch, or better yet a belly rub!
Those silly pups here do all kinds of crazy junk…well but of course they are dogs! Last night both of them got all tangled up in a blanket, and then it became a wrassling match…followed by tug of a=war, all at the expense of that poor blanket, Hah!

Poor Summer! I’m sure we’re all grating on each other’s nerves but the extra bonding time isn’t bad either. Thankfully one day this will all just be a memory…hopefully sooner rather than later.

Summer. Princess here. As we know, I rule this apartment. Mom and Rosie are my servants. I’ve peed more often and asked for food every time she goes in the kitchen. Which, is a lot, hope she doesn’t get fat. I’ve gotten whipped cream a few times too. I also keep her good and bothered when she’s relaxing or in bed

Well, we know how you feel. Mom had her work hours cut back at work and now spends an extra day with us. She says we drive her crazy so she order us a bunch of those yellow catnip bananas from Jackson Gallery. We had one but we ripped a hole in it and mom had to sew it. I mean, 1 for 7 cats! It was a gift so we’ll let it go. Now we each have our one. Mom just hopes these keep us busy for a while. When will the madness end…We can’t wait for you to resume your therapy visits again. Great pics today! Purrs

How much is all this “entertainment” cutting into your
nap time? You need to put your foot down on that.
It is nice of you to help keep your human entertained
    though.

Summer, at least I’m working from home, so I’ve got something to occupy some of my time.
However, the rest of the time is occupied by napping with kitties, playing with kitties, feeding kitties, scooping litter boxes, etc.
And, going to healthful neighborhood walks.

Looking good Summer, we’re doing ok and the same here as the P.A. mainly works from home since her accident – but now dads here all day too and Melvyn says it’s interrupting his napping schedule as dad keeps going checking on him! MOL
