We needed food from the big chain pet store this week, and my human took me along. Of course she would. It’s fall at the pet store, and you know what that means.
The Halloween costumes are up! My human wanted the chance to try some one me. Honestly, I’m not that impressed with a lot of the selections this year.
Who thinks that this headwear is S/M? It’s not if you’re a cat, and it was huge on me! I don’t think it’s small enough to fit Boodie’s head either (she has the largest head out of all of us).
I’ve seen lion’s manes on Etsy, and even got to try one on at a cat show, and it looked really cute on me. But once the idea got co-opted by corporate America… they didn’t know how to make it fit a cat’s dainty head. Even roaring did not make it work.
I also checked out the fall wardrobe. Wait — isn’t this Los Angeles, where the average winter temperature never goes below the high 60s? I feel like I’m looking at pet clothes for Vancouver!
I got to wander around the store for a bit. Somehow I wound up on the top shelf of the cat litter.
Then came the best part — checking out the birdies! I hear these guys live wild in my neighborhood, but I’ve only seen sparrows flying around our house.
This guy was not scared of me in the least! He spent some time checking me out.
Finally it was time to check out.
I got to sit on the counter while everything got rung up. And I got a treat for my good behavior!
