Guess what? I am officially a SkyMall kitty, just like in the song! My human came home with a Drinkwell Platinum fountain — the very same one you see at the beginning of the video. Well, except she didn’t get it from SkyMall.
She actually got it from Petsmart.
The truth is we already had a regular Drinkwell fountain, except it got busted because the dog kept coming in and drinking it dry (even though she has her own water in the enclosed patio!), and my human’s boyfriend kept forgetting to refill it after she did that. Finally the motor burnt out. This has happened a few times and each time my human paid for a new one. This time she got fed up and told her boyfriend he had to pay for it. But even though they searched all over they couldn’t find one like the one we had. The closest they could find was the Platinum, which was considerably more expensive than the regular Drinkwell fountain. The good part about that is that he has been pretty good about making sure to refill the fountain regularly since then. As you can see, there is an occasional struggle over domestic chores at my house.
But no matter how we got it, I think a Platinum Drinkwell fountain is only my due. I am a SkyMall kitty (if only an honorary one), and I deserve the best.
Although who got the better end of this deal may be up for debate.

Oh, we have a smaller fountain, but Hobbes and Grace LOVE it! At first, they were scared of it, but soon they figured it out and now they love it! We are hoping the Wiener Dog doesn’t drink out of it and ruin it with dog germs! (He is staying with us for a few days)
That is a very smart fountain. We like to drink from the bath tap, but our favourite is rain water.
As long as those humans keep up with the domestic chores. Should they slip, you know how to remind them.
I like those kind of water dishes. This makes it so the water is much fresher, and available most of the day. I wish they made a water fountain for cats or dogs that could be hooked directly to the water pipes of the house. That would be the best.
My mom bought one of those for me and I wouldn’t go near it. She ended up auctioning it off on FB. I’m glad you like yours.
I don’t know what Skymall is, but you are very lucky kitties to get such a posh drinking fountain! I sure hope the beans don’t break it again due to neglect.

Wow, we had no idea there was a platinum drinkwell! We have a different type of fountain, but it isn’t fancy and platinum or anything! That is so cool!
At our house our mom and dad have an unspoken agreement – mom = food (especially canned – dad is afraid of the canned) and dad does the water. Mom will take care of water too, but dad will never take care of food.

I have that fountain! And yep, we buy a new one like every year…even the Platinum one. But, I won’t drink out of anything else do the people are kinda stuck buying new ones for me 🙂

That is one nice fountain but only the best for you Sparkle! We don’t have a fountain but we think we should get one especially since they come in cool, Binga approved boxes!

We love our fountain. We like the new style a lot, but Mom says we have to make do with the one we have. Our woofies drink it almost dry sometimes and get their food bits in it…icky. That box looks like a Platinum box too!!
