We visited the big hospital, and my first stop was Pediatrics. After pausing for a resident, we found out there was only one kid to visit. But he was awesome! His face lit up when he saw me, and I was so happy to hang out while he petted me nonstop. I snuggled on the bed and purred and made happy paws the whole time.
We spent lots of time with the boy before heading over to the Cancer Center. The waiting room was full of people, and all of them loved kitties, so they were thrilled to see me. My human had me do high fives and paw shakes for them. One woman in the infusion room wanted to see me, even though she was afraid of cats. This always amuses my human because she knows I’m probably the least scary cat anyone will ever meet.
We finished up by visiting Labor and Delivery, which is always a great place to visit. The staff there loves us therapy pets so much and they know me by name. So I hung out with them and posed for photos and enjoyed myself. There were also a couple of patients to visit. The first woman was very nice and I enjoyed hanging out with her a lot. But I really, really loved the second patient! I was so happy to lie next to her while she chatted with her family on the phone. She even showed me to them on FaceTime. I actually didn’t want to leave! When my human tried to pick me up, I rolled over on my back. That doesn’t happen very often.
We wound up visiting a bit later than we normally do, which was fine. My human works on my schedule, not hers, and if I am enjoying myself, we will stay longer.

Sounds like a pawsome day! I’m always amazed that some people are afraid of cats. I mean – how do they leave the house and face the rest of the world if a sweet, innocent kitty scares them???
