I have been very busy coaching my human on what to say for today’s library talk, so I asked Binga to check up on how my catnip plant is doing for me.
Although it looks healthy, I don’t think it is growing very fast. I sort of expected it to fill up the whole planter by now. Maybe the rain we are having this week will help.
I only take leaves sparingly — I don’t want to further stunt its growth!
I hope Binga does not think that pretending to be all eyes is going to get her a bonus sprig! She will have to do some real work for that.
When you have *Tortle Power*, the world is yours. 😉
Yummmm! Teri can’t grow nip in our backyard cuz it’s so shady…but she grows it at the cat vet where she works and it keeps us ‘invigorated’ all summer…as well and sharing it with the kitties who come in to the vet…kinda like a kid getting a lollipop after being good at the doctors, hahameow! As always, thanks everso for your visits to our bloggie!
I’m sure Binga will be VERY happy with just one or two leaves 🙂
Yoo hoo! Hi Binga. Do you have any kitten pics? I bet you were a cute kitten. When I was a kitten, I had ringworm on top of my head and that’s how she could tell me apart from the three other black kittens she was fostering. Plus I pushed thru the others to get my fudz.
Hi friends! :waves paw:
Thanks so much for the birthday wishes!!
Tell yer Bein ta pinch out the growing tips on the Nip. That makes it send out more leafs from the lower stems. More leafs!
Hmmph. As if she’s going to get more than her share for LOOKING!
Hope your Human’s chat went well–will you allow her to report tomorrow?
Nip is our favorite plant! If only our mom would plant some…
We hope the library talk goes/went well! We’re sure your human did a pawesome job! As for Binga, she always does a pawesome job at whatever she does so she should get her own nip plant! Just sayin.
Purrs,
Isabella
your catnip plant looks great, Sparkle! we about tried to attack our computer monitor, mol! if you’ve had some cool weather, that may have slowed the growth down. Enjoy!

I love catnip because it self-seeds itself in funny places around the yard–surprising us each spring. 🙂 Hobbes went and laid in our patch of it, thus smooshing it forever…..BUT…..I found another secret plant further down the garden. HOORAY!
We hope your catnip grows really fast!
Binga is keeping a good eye on that nip Sparkle.

Looks like big progress from last year. Hope your library talk is fun. Are you bring a flat cat of Sparkle?
I don’t do flat. Either I’m there or I am not! Usually I am not, and that just gives me an air of mystery.
I think Binga did a very nice job. We have one of those pet store nip plants on the window. It’s been there a year and the leaves are finally really big. TW never pinched it to make it bushy so its kind of long and straggly.
It looks great to us! And maybe she could have a teeny extra piece?
Maybe there is a rogue goat in your neighborhood eating your ‘nip!
That catnip plant is way cool! I gotta get mom to plant one for us. We won some seeds and never planted them.
Aw, come on Sparkle, share with Binga. Just one sprig…
Your catnip is looking good. I hope it will grow fast and huge for you 🙂
I think your plant of the nip is doing VERY well. It’s way bigger than any of ours have ever grown. You’re doing such a good job by taking the leaves sparingly. My fur family & I can’t seem to get the knack of that. That’s our problem, I think.
Your catnip plant does look good. I think my humans need to plant some of that too!
Binga should get a bonus sprig. She’s doing a great job looking over “YOUR ” nip plant.
We’d give Binga nip too. 🙂
Actually, yours is doing really well! And hey, you have some this year. LOL.
that plant looks awesome….we REALLY gotta get mom to plant us some this year (maybe once spring reappears around here)
Binga did a darn good job!!!
Oh Binga..mommy LOVES seeing your beautiful self. You are gorgeous. xoxoxoxox
Binga seems to have taken her sentry duties seriously – is she after a cut?
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Wow… that looks like a beautiful catnip plant. Very healthy…. you are lucky.
pawhugs, Max
Your nip looks good Sparkle!!! We think you should share some with Binga 🙂
Your cat nip looks as if it is doing fine to us.
That nip is looking good so far. It should get better especially with Binga snoopervising it.
Your nip is looking pretty good. Good job Binga checking it out. Our nip is growing like crazy except when some of those norty outside cats take a nap in the middle of it. But it seems to bounce back. Take care.
awwww! she is so so so sweet here! and the Nip- NOM!
We would give Binga nip! She looks so pretty. Our catnip seeds haven’t come up yet!
Awww… those huge eyes are just calling out for al that nip!
I would give Miss Binga my nip.
