I had a really fun cat show day in Glendale! As you can see, people petted me, just like the sign asked! And I even met a celebrity — the little girl from American Housewife. She and her mom were so excited to be at the cat show! I have to confess, I am a little envious of my nephew, crazy Louie — he was at a show up north and got petted by Carlos Santana!
My human set up my selfie props really nicely, but this time they didn’t get used. Probably because it was a smaller show. I drew some crowds, but it wasn’t mass insanity like Meet the Breeds was a couple of weeks ago!
Always a pleasure to talk with #summersimba #celebritycat #therapycat #blogger and is never at a loss for words telling us all about the #cfa #catfancier #catshow #cats #catlover #showcat #pedigreed #kittens #adoptions #mainecoon #devonrex #sphynx #persiancat #bobtail #himalayan and much more #hosting #youtube
I did get interviewed, just like a celebrity! Well, my human did most of the talking, but as you can see, I needed to check the audio.
But… can you believe my human has already bent up the hands on my “Will Return” clock? She’s so careless! It’s a good thing they’re inexpensive because I want a new one.
There were a couple of grand parties, with cake! So my human got to have some. One of them had whipped cream frosting and I dived in and got some on my nose before she could hide it from me.
My human didn’t have a lot of time to check out the vendors, but she did pass by a few when she was making trips to the human litter box room. Even though she doesn’t wear cat clothes, she really liked the ones from this vendor called Skirtybirt. The tops were especially for the cat show. She has mostly skirts and some jewelry on her Etsy shop.
She also loved a lot of the things MarcyVeryMuch was selling.
In addition to the store, MarcyVeryMuch has a fun blog. The blog, and the shop, are actually named after the seller’s cat, Marcy.
My nephew Navy was competing in his very last kitten show, and he got a couple of finals. You can see him in this photo — he’s number 29. See how big he’s gotten? He’s ready to compete with the grown-up kitties!
And look who else was at the show — Miss Kitty! Yes, she is still looking for a home. I’m positive she must have been a show cat when she was a youngster because she loved being at the cat show and greeting people. My human and Navy’s human kept sending people over to Miss Kitty. I think a few people may be interested, but if you know anyone in southern California that wants a rescue Somali, you should still get in touch with S.C.A.R.
I had loads of energy, and at one point my human put my harness and leash on so I could wander a bit. The hall was a little too small for me to have a stroll, though — we only do that when I can keep a distance from the other show cats. The worst thing you can do, etiquette-wise, is disturb other exhibitor’s kitties, so I never want to do that.
I did rest a bit, but I mostly wanted to entertain people. Usually I conk out around lunchtime for a while, but not at this show! I kept going nearly all day.
Eventually I did crash out! But I had an awesome time.
