Friday Frustration

June 17, 2011 By: Sparkle Cat49 Comments

This was the most un-fun afternoon ever!

I am not sick, so why am I here at the vet again? It isn’t my fault I had an empty bladder and couldn’t give you anything last time.

Binga agrees that this is no fun!

And Binga had to come along too. She is almost 11 and has never had a full senior checkup. Plus my human was concerned because she seemed a little “off.” The test results from her workup aren’t in yet, but the vet found what is probably bothering her right away. She has a bad tooth!

Ouch!

No wonder she hasn’t been trying to steal my food as much as usual! My human felt really bad when she saw it because she does not examine our mouths very often and it looks like it is very painful! If her bloodwork looks good then that tooth is coming out!

Poor Binga, that does look painful. I don’t check either of my boy’s teeth the way that I should. Dakota just had his cleaned a few weeks ago and I keep meaning to brush them and don’t. I have to brush Cody’s as well. This shows how important it is! Hope all is well with the blood work!

The Human shuddered and shuddered and shuddered to see that toof. She has hadded so many toof woes since Christmas that she has lots and lots of sympathy for Binga! Still, I hope YOU don’t get dragged there with her if she has to have her toofie out!

Oh nos!! I hope you feel better Binga!! I have to get my teeth cleaned every year. It makes me sleepy and mommy laughs at me because I look funny. I don’t like going to the vet because I have to ride in the car!! And then they usually poke me with stuff!! I like to sit under a chair. Where do you sit at the vet? Do they take your picture? Do you like your carrier? I hate mine!!

Binga and I both hate the carrier – until we get to the vet. Then you can’t get us out of it!!! Except this time, when the vet started to take Binga away in her carrier to do the tests, I jumped out of mine and chased after the vet – I was worried!

Aw, it’s not your mom’s fault! She knows as well as any of us how we cats mask our pain and discomfort. And trying to look at our teefs is a losing battle, anyway. We do Not Allow it. We hope that Miss Binga’s blood work comes back ok so she can have that bad toofie taken out. Then everyone will be happy!

Yikes, that looks a bit painful! Scarlett’s teeth were in horrible shape a couple years ago and she had to be sedated for a full cleaning and the removal of a couple teeth. She was out of it for days from the sedation but I think she was happy to not have her teeth bugging her anymore!

Poor Binga, that looks painful. She’ll feel so much better once that comes out. And poor human – it’s the worst feeling when we realize that something is wrong with one of our babies, but we didn’t notice it because they’re so good at masking pain and discomfort.
