On yesterday’s post, my friend Danielle asked, “What does the poster behind you say? I can’t quite make out all of it.” It is actually not a poster, but a painting. In fact, it is a painting that my human commissioned from a local artist! What is his name? You will have to guess — the answer was hiding in plain sight yesterday. The first one to tell me the artist’s name will win a small door prize from me!
And I am not done either. Can you tell me when I first posted about this painting? There is one big hint in the photo above: it was when we lived at the old house, when I was posting on the diary section of my blog just once a month. The search function on my blog might help you. The first one who can give me the right answer also wins a door prize!
There is only one rule: you cannot win both prizes! So if you guess the artist, don’t spoil it if you know when I first posted about the painting. Winners (if I have them) will be announced on Tuesday.
My Human is so lame she’s barely even letting me visit until the “skool yeer” (whatever that is) is over. But I had to come say hello even if she won’t let me even try to win the contest.
Argh, we saw the floater on the picture, but we were FAR too late gettin here! MOL!
So many already got it so I’ll just say that I like the painting.
Well the subject of the painting is truly amazing…
oh rats! we found the R. Hutcheson too but we’re too slow! That’s a pretty cool painting of you Sparkle, or should we say your alter ego?

Your secret is revealed… you ARE Superkitty!
You look a little bit scared of that painting, Miss Sparkle!
Good job, Rumbles! We hope you’re having a great birthday month, 🙂
That is too funny how you got the artists name in there. I was puzzled until the computer mouse told me.
Wow, Rumbles and Simba! You guys are TOO good!
I will explain how they (probably) figured it out on Tuesday for those who were puzzled. And don’t worry – there are more fun contests and giveaways coming up!
We were WAY too slow today! Concats to Rumbles and Simba!
Rumbles and Simba are good!
Rumbles is #1. How does he do that? It is a wonderful painting!

Thanks for showing us that painting, Sparkle! I think it is so cool. It looks like you are a superhero comic book character.
Sparkle, we haven’t a clue, but you look a wee tad freaked out by that painting!
I was! Nobody ever sees themselves the way others do.
Geez, how did you guys figure this out? I don’t see it at all even after reading the answers posted. I plead jet-lag! 🙂
I’m late too! But not too late to enjoy your Birthday month!!!
It’s a wonderful painting, we agree.
That is a very cool painting!

We’ll have to get mum to get up earlier!!

Well darn, we didn’t get here early enough. Nice job Rumbles and Simba. That is quite a nice painting. Hope all of you have a great week end.
Oh man, we are late to guess and Rumbles and Simba beat us to it!! It’s a cool painting, Sparkles!!
Rumbles beat me to it on the artist. You first posted about the painting February 3rd 2006.
What we want to know is how Rumbles came up with R. Hutcheson!!!
The only think we can see is the SK on the cape, or is that for SparKle?
We’re clearly useless. We did mention that our #1 is still stuffed up, didn’t we?
Purrs,
The Chans
PS: I have many smoochies for you for your birthday.
R. Hutcheson!
