I am always getting things to try out on my blog, but this is something I have never seen before — a Paint Kit for Cats by Kitty Casso!
It comes with art paper, nontoxic paint and even a frame! Plus a cat toy for inspiration. And it is supposed to be one of those no-muss, no-fuss deals.
As you can see, I was not wholly convinced I was going to enjoy this.
First my human had to prep the canvas by squirting paint on it. This was the hardest part, mainly because it involved human action. She was not creative enough putting the paint on the first time and the painting came out blotchy and not very good. It’s important to make it at least a little bit swirly and interesting to begin with.
Yes, that is Binga’s tail you see on the right. She kept getting in the way and my human kept having to brush her tail off to keep it from getting in the paint. Finally, she left in a huff and refused to participate. Which is just as well — I do not think she has an artistic soul.
Once my human added the paint, she placed one of the plastic sheets over it (that is where the no-muss part came in) and placed it on the floor, on newspaper, just in case the no-muss part did not work out. Then we were supposed to use the toy to help us paint! We really liked the mouse a lot.
My human also pulled out my new favorite toy for even more inspiration! Boodie worked really hard on the canvas!
She wore herself out, in fact!
Here is the finished painting. I added my signature. Boodie forgot about that part — she had already left!
And here is the painting, framed! Isn’t it awesome? I was surprised by how fun it was! This painting thing is really cool.
And if you looked really closely at the first photograph, you might have noticed that there were TWO Paint Kits for Cats! That means I have one to give away! This makes me happy because we really did like this kit and want to share the fun! All you have to do is leave a comment and say you did on the Rafflecopter widget (if you are not reading this post on the original blog, click here to go there so you can enter). I am making this giveaway available to everyone, no matter where you live! This looks like a lot of fun! I can imagine the possibilities Millie would have, especially if I put her mortal enemy on the other side.
We nearly missed entering a giveaway * looks at Mum accusingly * Sorry Sparkle, here, Present, Correct and entered ( I thinks…)
My cat is pretty clever – would love to see what she can paint!
