Enough of the Cold!

January 3, 2011 By: Sparkle Cat49 Comments

This is a poor replacement for a sun puddle.

Maybe a low of 40°F does not seem that cold to you east coast kitties, but I am a southern California cat with thin fur. I have been parked by the floor heater nonstop for days. I blame my human. She does not like the cold either, so you would think she would do something about getting the sun back out. Slacker.

I soooo agree with you, I can’t take the cold at all. I try to sit in front of this tiny little electric space heater when on the computer, but the rest of the day it’s way too cold. Looking forward to summer!!

We are cold, too! Mom keeps the house a little warmer since she has been on Coumadin, but not enough to please us!
Spring is surely coming, Sparkle, but not soon enough for us chilly kittycats.

We agree, 40 is cold! We are lucky we live in Florida, we do at least get some sun and can sit outside and warm up for a while, but we still prefer mom’s bed for keeping warm. 🙂

Oh, Sparkle, Victor huddles by the vents, waiting for the hot air to turn on. I just snuggle in the down comforter on the bed. Mom got an iPod, as you read in our post, but Dad got an iPad. He says it’s for his work. Victor managed to turn it on, but Dad won’t let us play with it… yet. Purrs!

We understand how you feel! Of course it’s far colder for us now, but everything is relative — it’s all in what you’re used to.

Actually, they had turned the heat off in mom’s building over the holidays, and it sure doesn’t feel like it’s back on yet. Nothing at all from the radiator. Brrrr!

Maybe she can borrow your heater? 😛

Goodness, Sparkle–I don’t think your human can help on the sun–so she may not be a slacker in this case, unless she doesn’t hike up the HEAT. Humans so care about heating bills…*SIGH** Maybe they should grow their own coat…

The temperature here has been reaching 40 – 42F the last few days and it feels quite warm after the cold weather we were having. Mum can understand you being cold though because she says it always feels freezing here when she comes back from her October/ November holidays.
