Today’s post is going to be a little briefer than normal. I went to the Blessing of the Animals at Olvera Street yesterday, but I’m saving most of the sights for Monday’s blog post. I’m just sharing a little bit today. As you can see from this shot in the car before we got on the Metro Rail downtown, I didn’t dress up like last time I went in 2016.
Here is where they set up for the Blessing. It was on Main Street, by El Pueblo de Los Angeles and Olvera Street. As you can see it was a pretty day. The morning haze had mostly burned off. The buildings in the background are over 100 years old, which is something special in this city. If you look to the far left, you can see City Hall.
After the Blessing, my human and I hung out for a bit at El Pueblo de Los Angeles, and I thought that would be the perfect time to take a selfie.
So I did! I’ll tell you lots more about the Blessing tomorrow.
