My human can’t help herself — she is a sucker for lighting. When she sees sunlight doing something she likes, she has to grab her camera — and usually me. Winter creates some pretty awesome lighting in the dining room, and when the afternoon sun came out between rainstorms, next thing I knew, I was on the dining table with camera pointing at me.
Which was fine, because it involved Cat-uterie treats. She took a couple of angles of me that included most of the room.
She also took some closeups which came out equally as nice.
Of course I was anxious to get proper compensation for my work.
Soon the photo session disintegrated into silliness.
Even while messing around, we managed to get an action shot that was pretty cool!
I hope you enjoyed these portraits! They were totally unplanned, and we only used sunlight, no extra studio lights.

Summer you are an absolute beauty. That fur, the color of the ticking, those eyes and all the floof. Just gorgeous
You are a long lady!
The sunlight brought out all the lovely colours in your fur.
You look very intelligent!
While I love your eyes with “full pupils,” and “almond-shaped pupils,” seeing your eyes in “slitted pupils” is also very pretty!
Summer, I especially like your meerkat impression!
That is beautiful light and clearly a not to be missed opportunity!
Purrs,
The Chans
Those are all beautiful shots. xO
Your fur looks so warm and pretty in the natural light. Thanks for showing us how to do table portraits!

Dear Summer, I have been reading about so many hoomoms struggling to take photos of their fur babies. I keep telling them, it’s all about the treats! Yoo photography beautifully! Love, Dori
Gorgeous pics of you, Summer!
Yup, humans get excited when the lighting is good and more so when it has “atmosphere”
I like these pictures. Your furs really like the sun as the sun compliments them 🙂

How fun and super darling pictures!
She is right about the lighting. Your eyes seem to glow a bit
differently with that light behind you. It gives a very pleasant
look to the room with that glow.
Sometimes spur of the moment.unplanned sessions get the best images because of the spontaneity.
You did well, Summer.
Sorry we have been rather AWOL lately…but we’re glad to come by when we can.
