In case you didn’t notice the title, or see the ornament boxes hiding in the corners of this photo, this was the week for the Christmas tree to finally go to bed ’til next year. All the Christmas photo shoots are done. (In fact, one photo is already on a card!) This fun box is actually meant to pack away the ornaments.
Here is the other box for the ornaments. Oh, and there is also a big cannister for the rest of them.
Whenever possible, my human kept the original boxes the ornaments came in.
The cat themed ornaments all get special care. For the record, one ornament was broken this year. Fortunately it wasn’t a cat one. Unfortunately, it was a $20 hand-painted one from New Mexico that my human got many years ago. Fortunately, none of us kitties were responsible — it’s all on her.
It looks like this Christmas is finally a wrap! Or maybe that is un-wrapped.
Now I can have all my tunnels back!
Yeah tunnels! It is always grr-eat fun when the tunnels have a place to spread out! Sorry, your momma’s Christmas ornie broke. But remind her that YOU are the ornament for all seasons, will never shatter, and are huggable. Tee hee hee! Kisses!
We didn’t break any ornaments this year, but that’s because Mom was too lazy to decorate the tree! She just plugged it in and called it done. Hiding behind the tree is fun, but tunnels are fun too.
It’s always a sad day for me when it’s time to put away the Christmas tree.
Looks like you’re a cat-tabulous helper!
Well, we’re glad your tunnels are back, Summer!
Summer, that first picture is my all time fave!
Summer, can you believe it, our tree is still up. Mom has most the ornaments off and put away, but she forgot she needed to order a new storage bag for the tree. She finally did it yesterday, so who knows how much longer it will be up. It looks silly, as she put everything else away two weeks ago. Did you know that you have basically the same expression on your face in all these photos. That’s unusual. We figure it must e because Binga isn’t around bugging you. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
We break a precious one now and again. Mum always gets upset but remembers its not a person, or a cat, its a memory she can still keep in her head.
Our trees have been gone for a couple of weeks. Mum even unplugged the outside lights a few days ago.
Your human is so organized! We have lots of ornaments too and store them in 2 large Chewy boxes. I keep the original boxes whenever possible as well but just flatten them.
Yay for tunnels!
Our human broke TWO ornaments this year! If she continues at this rate, we won’t have any ornaments to hang in a few years! ;p
the critters in the cottage xo
We put ours away around New Years Day.
Cat in a box!
Glad you kitties were not responsible for breaking any ornaments. Those kitty ones are adorable. I try to keep originals boxes too, especially the Hallmark ones.
These are very pretty pictures!
Your eyes and fur look beautiful in these photos!!
Wow, Summer! It’s hard to believe that someone was actually later than us in putting way the Christmas tree!
Purrs,
The Chans
What? Something got broken and you didn’t even get the fun part (playing with it first)?
I love those kitty ornaments. Sorry the hand-painted one got broken. Of course it wasn’t kitty’s fault…humans can be really clumsy 🙂
Let’s hope that Spring will arrive early, now that we all have the holidays behind us, Summer.
You beat us. Our tree is still standing, without all the glittery balls though, but it’s still there in the middle of the living room.
I want to see you play in tunnels!!!
Yay Summer and we say well done to the human…she got every thing down and safely packed just before the 1 month mark since Christmas.
Getting your tunnels back is the best
Hugs madi your bfff
Aww, poor ornament, poor Christmas tree going back in its box…. but did you say tunnels? So…. you haven’t had tunnels since Christmas? Wow! That’s almost like having Christmas all over again!
It’s always a bitter sweet moment when our tree goes to bed too. Getting our space back with all the toys is always fun. Thankfully you guys didn’t break any ornaments. Best to leave that to the humoms, LOL. Purrs
glad you are getting your space back – and that you weren’t responsible for the broken ornament
We bet you were a great help packing everything away, Summer.
Glad you got your tunnels back Summer. At least your Christmas lasted a long time.
I hope your human wasn’t standing on that chair to get the ornaments off! Doesn’t look safe!
She uses that chair to watch TV because she is too lazy to move the couch. The TV is more for doing exercise videos that watching shows so it’s always off to the side.
It looks so bare when the tree goes, but it will be back for next Christmas, boxes and all.
We miss our tree but we do like having all of our spaces back pretty Summer!
Well… sad about the big box, but yeaaa about the Return of the Tunnels.
All of our decorations are put away except for the evergreen wreath hanging outside .
Mum might take the bow off and just leave the greenery.
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Good thing you were there to help your mommy be organized.
