Although I’ve looked at my catnip plants a couple of times, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve seen the rest of my backyard. So I thought it was time to visit.
As you can see, Brown Season has come early to my house.
It’s been really hot for the past couple of days. My human waited until very late in the day to take me out, so the concrete wasn’t too hot for my paws. It was actually nice and warm, and I kept lying down because it felt so good!
I also sat on the concrete wall for a while, but it was pretty noisy down here.
The neighbor dogs kept barking at me and my human. So rude of them!
I decided I’d had enough of listening to them, so it was time to check up on my catnip garden.
It’s still growing like crazy!
As you can see, it’s even flowering.
I thought I’d end this post with a close up of me with my catnip in the background.
I hope you enjoyed visiting the backyard with me!

I’m glad you got out when it was cooler. The nip is impressive. Bet you get lots of happy moments with it
Sigh! THe new dog next door has been a pain! She barks when she sees us, so if we go out the front, Reggie goes ballistic and if we go out the back, Ella starts! Dogs! Your catnip looks terrific! Our plants are starting to grow. Alex had to put wire over it so it gets a chance to grow or we get in there and roll all over it!
Look at all that catnip! Fabulous! Not so fabulous about the rude D-O-G-S. They’re probably barking ’cause they’re jealous about you getting your very own catnip plants and they don’t have the equivalent.
Damn nosy, noisy dogs, huh? Boy, that sure is one load of ‘nip plants you got there, girl. I have my one in a pot, and I pretty much couldn’t care less about it. Those steps are pretty cool, though I think they’d wear me out quickly. Everything around here is lush and green and filling in nicely, providing tons of privacy from, well, everyone/everything. Have yourself a fabulous weekend, Summer.
Us pups would love to come and bark at you, too…BOL!
Just kidding…but we do bark at the neighbor’s cat when we see him…you know, the one called Sparkle!
Summer, your catnip looks great considering it’s brown season! As for those dogs … so rude!
I love your yard!
Your catnip is growing well. Those dogs are very rude to stare and bark.
Those are all good, especially the close up sweet Summer!
We’ve had the HOTS here and finally got some rain. Our catnip plants are still babies and (so far) Mom hasn’t deaded them.

I never noticed your nose freckle before. It’s fabulous.
That is a lot of catnip, Summer. I hope your human gives you some fresh stuff.
Dogs can be so rude. I hope your human picked some for you.
Too bad the brown season has arrived. That just means more
heat. Glad you didn’t see any bears!
I love when you’re out in the yard having fun. And yes, that was rude of the dogs!
Looks like that catnip is going to be a bumper crop Summer!
Hugs, Teddy
Good to hear you had a nice outing even with the barking dog :/
Lots of catnip!
Hope you got some to take indoors 😉
It’s been cool and rainy here, so I have not been outdoors.
