Almost exactly three years ago, I was in Kansas City for the BlogPaws conference. For those of you who don’t know, BlogPaws was a pet blogging conference that lasted about ten years before disappearing into a corporate buyout. It was a fun trip, starting with the plane flight. I love hanging out at the gate, waiting to board. I don’t know why humans find it so tedious.
BlogPaws was a rare opportunity for us cat bloggers who live in different parts of the country (world, even!) to see each other. Some of them would put together tiny gift bags to give out. My human and I did in 2018. These contained a little cat toy, treats (I think), and one of my refrigerator magnets. (Yes, I have refrigerator magnets, and sometimes my human and I sell them!)
I will admit, there were a few boring parts, like sitting through seminars while my human took notes. Sometimes she left me in the hotel room for these, but she brought me along if we had somewhere fun to go before or after.
My favorite part was the exhibition hall, especially the cat lounge! Yes, there was a whole area of the most awesome cat stuff imaginable.
I could have just moved in and lived there forever, it was so cool!
The other awesome part was the swag bags we got! The first few years BlogPaws was around, they had a problem figuring out swag bags for cats. There were mix ups and dog swag in cat bags and all sorts of disappointment. But by 2018, they figured it out and we cats got a super awesome bag of all sorts of cat goodies, including this Yeowww! catnip rainbow.
To be honest, I usually gave most of the swag away on my blog. At least once I got it out of Binga’s grasp. She thought all of it belonged to her.
Although the BlogPaws days are over, I hope I get to have more fun trips in the future!

Maybe you can travel to the Cat Writer’s Conference this year if they decide to have it as a live event instead of virtual. Mom missed going to the BlogPaws event in 2018, but she went in 2017. She said she had a great time. I didn’t get to go with her, but she did bring me home the swag. I donated some of it to the local cat shelter. Tummy tickles.
Our mom really misses BlogPaws and seeing all of her cat blogging friends. Kansas City was so much fun!
Sigh! I wasn’t represented at that one. It figures the one with the cat swag. Those conferences were fun for TW but stressful cos she’s so shy.
The mom misses the BlogPaws conferences. She says one of the highlights was getting to see you!
I never got to go to a conference, but I sure miss BlogPaws in general!
We hope you are able to get out and about again soon, Summer!

Claire would have wished so much to attend BlogPaws and meet so many of our blogging friends ! She was lucky enough to meet Miss Chloe from the BlogPaws staff in Switzerland. Purrs
Looks like you enjoyed yourself!
I used to enjoy reading about Blogpaws. It is such a pity it was discontinued.
Nice flashback. I wish I had attended one of these.
We remember hearing about Blog Paws and seeing some posts. Looked pretty cool! BUT, we were trying to read on the mom’s phone, which certainly isn’t big, and first read your title as Big Paws, so naturally our eyes went right to your paws in your pic. We gotta say, you’ve got some very pretty and fluffy paws – lovely!
My mom said she LOVED meeting you and your mom at Blogpaws in 2018! She said you both lovely and sweet.
I really wanted to go but she said something about me not being well-behaved enough. Pfft.
Binga looked like she loved all the fun stuff you got!
We hate we missed the Kansas City trip but the Dad won’t fly any more. We do miss Blog Paws though, it was fun, or so I hear.
Our human and Angel Nellie used to avidly read all the blog posts about Blog Paws and dreamed of going. They were sad when the new company figured they did NOT need a convention for good will. We hope their is more travel in your future Summer! You are a terrific ambassador for cats! (Oh we love the Binga shot too!) We hope you and your human have a marvellously happy day!
We sure do miss the BlogPaws conference. It was so much fun to see all the other bloggers!
Thinking of Binga owning all the swag made us MOL.
Angel Binga surely enjoyed all of that swag, Summer!
That heart necklace always looks fab on you.
Blog Paws always sounded great to our Mom. That’s a LOT of swag! We’re always happy to see Binga.

Aww! What sweet memories!
I too hope you get some more exciting trips like this
