Happy Cat World Domination Day! As we kitties all know, we have already achieved world domination, and today is merely our day to celebrate. Just like countries celebrate their independence, we celebrate our domination! And I’m doing something a little fun this year by throwing an 80s party! The theme is “Cats just wanna have fun!”
My human was definitely an 80s girl, so it was easy for her to throw this together, in spite of the coronavirus hampering her hunt for party supplies and prizes. In fact, she even put together a playlist for us! So if you like 80s new wave, post-punk and alternative dance music, feel free to put it on for the rest of the blog post.
Let me put down the party props so I can show you the awesome menu. It’s all based on party food people actually ate in the 1980s.
Let’s start with the beverages! We have grasshoppers! Only, unlike the human version, they’re made with real grasshoppers! Yum.
Back in the 80s, they served spinach dip in a bread bowl, and something weird called pistachio fluff. So I requested kitty versions: catnip dip in a cat-sized bread bowl, and catnip fluff!
And here’s some tuna salad. I think that works for any decade!
And for the main course, catnip pesto pizza! I think catnip pesto never goes out of fashion.
Now, before we start dancing and going crazy, I’d better tell you about the giveaway! As you know, we’ve been virtually shut ins for the past couple of months. No cat shows or anything. And usually my human spends a few weeks scouring cat shows and other stores for our Cat World Domination giveaway. That couldn’t happen this year, so I called on our awesome 2020 sponsor and they came through!

OH I would love to to win this giveaway. I need a larger, sturdier pet carrier. The last pet carrier fell apart at the vets and the roof caved in on top of me. If I win I would want the Sleepy Pod Air (the one for pets less than 18 pounds) in Purple and if that’s not available would take red.
