Boodie was looking a little scraggly, so my human took her into the enclosed patio for a comb out.
She is pretty happy that she does not have to get a bath like I do. In fact, she looks positively giddy.
Although Boodie could get a comb out more often, she is nowhere near as messy as she used to be. Part of it is because she has a high quality diet. Back when my human was still giving her and Binga kibble and not-so great food, she used to mat a whole lot more. This time, even though it has been a while, my human only had to comb out a couple of small mats.
Boodie actually likes her comb outs… at least for most of the process. Towards the end she does get a little fed up and hissy. But that’s because she’s not used to being handled for more than a couple of minutes.
Boodie gets lots of treats during her comb outs. I don’t even want a treat until I’m almost done with my blow dry, but Boodie gets treats before the comb out and every couple of minutes, and then when she’s done.
She has no idea how easy she has it.
