I have to say that I am a little annoyed that Binga gets so prominently featured three days in a row on my blog, but she is the only cat left here who has not been Furminated, and my contest is still running.
Binga is also the one cat here who has a testy relationship with the Furminator. She complains and sometimes gets pretty grouchy about it. She does not think the Furminator is her friend.
In fact, Binga does not like being brushed at all, so this is no surprise. Since she is a short-haired cat, you would think that’s not a big deal. But she has a thick coat and does occasionally cough up some fur, if not a whole (if small) hairball. The funny thing about Furminating Binga is that it does not look like her fur! The Furminator gets out the loose undercoat hair, and Binga’s undercoat is way lighter than the coat you actually see.
It’s one of those amazing but true facts! Even I have a hard time believing it.
There are just a few days left to enter my Furminator contest! You can still guess how long Boodie’s fur pile is until midnight Pacific Time on April 29 — but you have to leave a comment with your guess at the original post. That is the only way your guess will count! Good luck to all the entrants — the winner will be announced on April 30!
Binga is very beautiful kitty, I have almost the same at home 🙂
Wow! That is a lot of fur! You could make a whole ‘nother cat or a SWEATER! Cool. A cat sweater.
Sparkle, I am not going to enter since I already have a Furminator but I do want to say that as a cat lover, I think the Furminator is fabulous.
Binga, your furminated hair looks alot like mine does. When mum rolls it in a ball it looks grey. I did not like the Furminator for a long time, but now I quite enjoy it.

I wonder…can you furminate a goat?
Binga is beautiful and I love, love, love this blog!
Can’t relate to the problem.
We need a furminator to see what color Isabella really is under her Tortieness!
Angel
Mommy furminates some of us..we also have a zoom groom and the rest of us prefer that. Either way, she gets enough fur to make several spare cats!

Ah we have a semi-long haired kitty who hates getting brushed – we call him Rasta Car because his fur turns into dreadlocks – aside from taking him to the vet once a year to be anesthetized (yes, he hates being handled THAT much) and then shaved, we are at a loss on how to keep him groomed and looking well.
Hi Binga! We just love a torti!
Hey Moooommmm! We want a Furminator. We think.
Wow, that thing is amazing. We get brushed just about every other day and Have never had a once a year big furminator visit.
That is very interesting that Binga’s hair is a different color. That furminator does do a great job. We don’t know if we would like being brushed. It is all we can do to let that bean pat us.
Have a great week.
I like getting brushed, but my furs are very sparse so I must be careful!
You’re right! That doesn’t look like Binga’s fur at all!! We gotta get furminated this week too…
I was amazed the first time I furminated Amber, too – despite being a dark tortie, the undercoat was the same color as Binga’s. Just goes to show that the Furminator really does what it says it does.
That’s a lot of fur! Derry is the only one here who loves to be brushed, the harder the better.
Wow, this is a nice blog you have here- Sparkle!
I am another cat blogger and my name is Sherkhan. I’ll come to say ‘hi’.
