Binga and I have some sad news for you. Binga has not been doing well for a while now, and three weeks ago, the vet found something going on with her trachea. She got some prednisolone in hopes that it would slow down whatever was going on there. (At almost 19, that’s pretty much all you can do.) But she had an episode yesterday where she couldn’t breathe and had a panic attack. So my human rushed her to the vet, even though she got her footing back. They took more x-rays, and discovered that whatever was going on by her trachea and hampering her breathing had grown significantly. My human does not want her to suffer any more than what she already saw yesterday, so Binga will probably only be with us for a couple more days.
In case you are wondering if I understand what is going on, since I am a therapy cat, yes I do. And it’s obvious. My human did a final photo session with me and Binga a few hours after bringing her home from the vet. And I think the photos will tell the story… so there are no secret captions.
I can’t tell you not to be sad, because we are all sad here.
We are very sorry for your loss. Godspeed Binga. We know Sparkle was the first to greet you at heaven’s gate
♥♥
We remember losing our tortie girls at the same age, in the same year. We knew what was happening too, so we know Summer did. We’re glad Summer had that last photo session with Binga, and that Binga was obviously a happy girl to the end. We loved her a lot because we loved our tortie girls and knew just how they were. Sending lots of purrs for your healing.
We are so sorry for your loss. Jack Norman thinks Binga was the best part of the photos. Sorry Summer. He liked her photo bombs. She will be missed.
Binga was such a bootyful girly and will be missed by many. We’re so sorry fur your loss. We’re sendin’ lots of hugs and purrayers.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Sorry about Binga. We loved her.
We are so sorry to hear about Binga. She had so much spunk and spirit. We will all miss her. Sending love and hugs to you guys.
I’m heartbroken to hear this. Binga has always been such a tough little girl, I guess I somehow hoped she was going to outlive us all. My heart goes out to you and your human. This is such a difficult time. Much love to both of you.
Binga ❤️❤️
Binga will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Pretty Summer, I know that your presence will always mean a lot to her.
I am so very sorry to hear this news about Binga. I enjoyed seeing you all in photos and having fun together. I feel very sad. That photo shoot that you did with her was lovely and some day when your human’s heart aches less she will have them to remember how much you loved each other
Summer, I am so, SO sorry to hear this news about Binga. She has had a very good life to make it to 19, so your human should take comfort in that. I’m 19 as well and have my own health issues. Karen and I are taking it one day at a time, but preparing for me to cross over to the Rainbow Bridge sometime fairly soon. I hope I run into Binga there because I know we will have a blast. -Adele
Oh my goodness we knew that Binga had not been feeling the best but this is so sad. We love seeing you both having your interactions and know that she has been loved dearly. Dear Binga please watch over us all until we meet again dear friend. We will miss you dearly. Love from all of us for support to Mom and you Summer. We are all crying here

Dear sweet Binga, how we will miss you here. But how Sparkle will welcome you at last at the Bridge! Fly free and run fast, sweetheart. Sending so much love and soft purrs.
The sad truth is that no dog or cat lives as long as their human parents. That Binga lived for 19 years is amazing! I know words can only do so much, but you are in my thoughts and prayers. (I’m going to be going to the cat event in Chicago and have earmarked to meet Summer option. I’m so happy to be able to meet Summer, but sad to know of your loss.) I’ve lost four furbabies (three dogs and one cat) in less than four years and have been dealing with medical issues with my Moko, who I adopted nine years ago when she was about 3-4 years old. She has hyperthyroidism and has had an allergic reaction to one of the medications and we nearly lost her. Every day – from the first day we have them in our lives until the last – is a real blessing. You gave Binga love and a good home. If only every cat could have the same. Again, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry for your loss and I pray for abundant comfort during your grieving process. Much Love, Deborah
What a terrible loss for her family. It was clear that Summer knew Binga was in distress. What loving cats. Godspeed, Binga.
Big hugs. We will miss Binga. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos.

Binga I loved learning about torti’s from you – it helped me understand mine. Your purrsonality made me smile. My eyes leak at the news of your passing but like your mom I would never want you to be afraid because you couldn’t catch your breath. You have been a part of your mom’s life for so long – I know it will be a challenge to get through the next days while the pain is so sharp.. I hope she will find comfort in Summer, her memories and the companionship of her human loved ones!
Binga, we love you, but Sparkle has been missing you for a long time. She’s waiting for you at the bridge.
All our love,
Darby, Mia and Ian
And Mama
I am so sorry! Binga is special and We always loved her for just being herself and not worrying about what people thought. Binga you will be young again!! Fly free sweet baby! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sending lots of love! Fly free Binga!
Pets,
Mia, Mosby, Angel Cosmo and Angel CJ
You absolutely did the right thing ! It is very hard for us but it would be very egoistic to keep her alive and she suffers. Finally she joined Kim not even two month later. My bathroom is so empty now, I always see her sleeping there. The two others aren’t affected at all, they continue their little lifes. I can understand what you are going through. 17 years living together is a long time. Now Summer will (maybe ) miss her. With cats nobody knows !
So so sorry you had to say goodbye to your purrecious Binga. Soft Pawkisses to comfort you all. Fly free beautiful cougar Soul
Binga was such a trooper to pose with you in the photos even though things weren’t going well for her. That’s how much she luved you and your momma. I know how much she enjoyed being with you and sharing (photobombing) your picture posts. Kisses and hugs.
Summer, this really hurts us. we all loved Binga and her tortitude 🙂 we are so sorry. huge purrs and hugs from all of us.

Dear Summer & Boodie & Janiss,
We all loved Binga & already miss her (and Sparkle). It’s surreal that she’s gone. We’re all so sad but glad that she is in no pain now. She made us smile with all those photobombs & just seeing her sweet little tortie girl face. We lost our tortie girl Star on Feb. 2. She was just shy of 20 years, so we know exactly what you & mostly your human mom are going through right now. My eyes won’t stop leaking.. Much love to you all.♡☆♡
Run free sweet Binga. We will miss you sweet girl. Purrs and prayers for your family at this difficult time.
Janiss and Summer, I don’t have the words that can convey how heartbroken I am to hear this news. I am so deeply, deeply sorry. Binga was loved by all of us. I am so sorry. xoxo
Hey dear friends, I just wanted to say we’re so sorry it was time for sweet Binga to depart, it hurts our hearts too. Love and hugs from all of us.
We are so very sad to here of Binga’s Passing. She was quite the character. We will miss seeing her photo bombing Summer and her little walks in the garden, hugs Speedy and Rachel
Beautiful photos. So sorry for our loss.
Summer and Mom; we are so sad to read that Binga has gone over the Bridge. Our Best Purrs Of Comfort to both of you.
We completely understand, Summer, that you understood that something was seriously wrong with Binga during that last photo shot with her (and probably before). We kitties can detect things about each other that the Beings cant, and as a Therapy Cat, you have more experience detecting problems than most of us.
The pictures were so touching and sweet. You sniffed, kissed, and licked her. It is so good to know that some of Bingas last experiences were of your sisterly care and affection towards her.
But there are some other positives too. Not many of us get 19 years and Binga seems to have been in good health until the last months. Sometimes, that is the best we can hope for. And, strange as this may seem, Binga didnt have to be the Star of the blog. That can be a burden to a kitty who doesn’t want the limelight. We will remember her best as the kitty enjoying the background (and as photobomber sometimes). We expect that was where she was most comfortable…
And now she has rejoined Sparkle and some of the other blogging kitties she knew in her long happy life.
So so sorry. Binga is such an awesome kitty and I will surely miss seeing her in your posts. Lots of hugs and kitty loves for your family ❤️
I’m so sorry. I love Binga, and I hope her remaining days are pain-free and filled with love. Torties are really special cats. I know you will miss her and so will I.
Binga, we hardly knew ye. And yet we did thanks to Sparkle and Summer and Janice. You all have brightened my life and MK’s life and DK just fell in love with all of you when MK shows him your pics.
This is a BIG hole and we HATE it for you. Sending loads of love and purrz. Safe journey, Binga. We love and miss you!
Tearz & purrz,
Selina
Oh we are crying from those beautiful pictures! Summer really is intuitive. She gave Binga her licks of love. Big hugs to you this has to be so hard. Binga was such a beautiful Tortie cat soul and I loved reading her stories. Now she’s going back to her cat hive with all the other cat souls and she’ll be back again sometime to bring that love back. In the meantime we will miss her so much!
Sending comforting thoughts. May Binga have a few more good days.
So very, very sorry….she is such a special girl. I rarely comment but felt compelled here. July 31st will be one year since I lost my soul cat of 19 years, Sersha was a calico so I can relate to that special brand of catitude. What helped me a great deal in those last few days, or rather who, was Terri Stueben, a communicator and reiki master. It helped so much to know what i was doing was right, that she could help her feel better and the day after, validate what I had felt. You may want to look her up. I also worked with Amy Williams-Delong who a gifted animal communicator and works with spring forest Qigong in the months prior, she just happened to be out of town those last couple of days.
Just wanted to pass that on in case it helps, and of course sending much love and healing. Remember they are never truly ‘gone’ and you’ve helped her leave an amazing legacy, living on in so many hearts around the world.
Binga, may your passing be filled with love and peace
I’m really sad to hear this news and am so very sorry. Binga is such a special kitty. These pictures are just so heartwarming and a little heartbreaking too.
<3
Binga, Summer, we’re so sorry to hear this — lots of purrs and hugs. It’s so hard to lose a friend! So difficult for you to go through.
We’re so very, deeply sorry to hear this and sending many comforting purrs and thoughts to you and yoru human.
I am so sorry. I am very sad for you but I am also sad for me because I love Binga. I will miss seeing her photo bombs. I think those are great photos and I love the ones where you are rubbing your face against her and washing her. I hope you will all be okay.
I have always had a big pile of special feelings for Binga….She never wanted to be left out of ANYTHING bless her. I love these photos of Sparkle doing her therapy cat thing for her big sister. My heart aches for her, for you, for the fact Binga has this problem in her trachea…….I know how hard this is.
Love, Pam and Teddy
Oh no, me and dad are both so sad about dear Binga. We’re so sorry to hear about what she’s going through, and please know we’re sending our purrs and prayers your way. I think you know we’re all feeling what you’re going through right now.
Summer I’m crying, I’m so sorry
We are both so sorry.
Sending you and your human lots of purrs and hugs xx
I am so sorry to hear about Binga, she looks so much like my late tortie Starshine. Torties are special, I lost my tortie Gasheeks last November and I was heartbroken. God bless Binga.
Tears are filling up in petcretary’s eyes. Yes, we too are very sad.
Binga is one in a million, and we love her.
Sending loads of purrs and some huge virtual hugs.
