Binga and I have some sad news for you. Binga has not been doing well for a while now, and three weeks ago, the vet found something going on with her trachea. She got some prednisolone in hopes that it would slow down whatever was going on there. (At almost 19, that’s pretty much all you can do.) But she had an episode yesterday where she couldn’t breathe and had a panic attack. So my human rushed her to the vet, even though she got her footing back. They took more x-rays, and discovered that whatever was going on by her trachea and hampering her breathing had grown significantly. My human does not want her to suffer any more than what she already saw yesterday, so Binga will probably only be with us for a couple more days.
In case you are wondering if I understand what is going on, since I am a therapy cat, yes I do. And it’s obvious. My human did a final photo session with me and Binga a few hours after bringing her home from the vet. And I think the photos will tell the story… so there are no secret captions.
I can’t tell you not to be sad, because we are all sad here.
So sorry. It always hurts so much when they get sick and have to go.
Although it breaks my heart seeing this posting, my heart is happy that you knew and loved her to the end. You showed her such great compassion Summer. I love you girls. And I love seeing the memories. Always in my heart…purrs
So sad. Please accept my deepest condolences, and those of Springsteen II, Castiel, Shawn and Gus. I hope she is playing with our angel kitties Faux Pas, Xena: WarriorPrincessKittyBobbCatt,
Sushi, Sake, Murphy the Wonder Cat and sweet little Crowley the Black Panther.
I apologize to you Summer and family for being so late to write this, we have been dealing with some things. Binga was a beautiful and hilarious soul who brought many smiles to our faces over the years, including my own original angel tortie Ms. Phoebe who has been gone 5 years now. I especially love the tortie ladycats, Binga and her photo bombing, treat seeking tortitude we will never forget. Thank you for sharing her with us, we send you comforting purrs and love as you mourn her loss. Fly free funny girl, you lived with flair.
Binga brought such a wonderful presence to your blog and home. We will miss her. Sending lots of purrs and healing vibes in your loss of her. We apologize for being late but we were dealing with an illness with one of ours. Hugs to your mom.
We are so sad to see this.

We expressed our condolences to you on Facebook, but we wanted to come by the blog and tell you how very sad we are that Binga had to leave. You could tell from the pictures that she didn’t feel good, you could also tell how very much you loved her and how much comfort she took from your presence.
Purrs of Comfort, Paws of Sympathy and ((Hugs)) from all of us here at ATCAD
I’m so sorry for your loss. I had to PTS my beloved cat, Cathy, last year. She had stopped talking, but the vet couldn’t find anything wrong with her. Then suddenly she had trouble breathing. Ultrasound revealed Cancer of the Tracheea. They put her in an oxygen crate, but couldn’t wean her off of it. Couldn’t operate because she couldn’t breath. I also lost my Tortie, Mama Kitty, who bravely dealt with Cerebellar Hypoplasia for many years, but got kidney failure that took her. It’s so hard to let them go, but nothing else could be done. Lovely photos.
My heart aches for you … it’s so heartbreaking to lose one of our furry children. I hope sweet memories of times spent together will give you comfort.

I have no doubt that Binga has made her journey to the Summerlands and is sharing her tortiude with all!
Love, prayers and sympathy on the loss of your beloved Binga. ❤️
I’m sorry it’s time for your family to say goodbye to Binga. 19 years is a long kitty life. I know it will be a very sad time and it will take time to adjust to her not being there. But I’m glad you’ve had some many wonderful years together and were able to say goodbye with cuddles, photos, and kisses.
I am so sorry for your loss of beautiful and precious Binga, but I know that you know she will forever and always be by your side.
We are so sorry about Binga. She was a lovely kitty that every one loved.
I will miss you, Binga. You always made me smile. ❤️❤️
We are so very sorry. What a lovely photo session to honor and memorialize your relationship. Binga, we love you and will miss you.
Since our mom sent an e-mail, you know how heartbroken we are at our house that Binga had to leave. We loved her and always hoped to see more of her on the blog. We loved her tortitude and penchant for photobombing. Though you complained about her Summer, we know you are missing her. All the angel Crotchety Cougars have taken her under their wings and are making certain she isn’t lonely. We are sending purrs and prayers as you all grieve. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and our mom, Janet
Same here. Huge Binga fan!
How is Boodie handling the passing of her longtime housemate ? She seems very low key but may feel even worse. Purrayers.
She is okay. She may miss Binga a little, but I don’t think she misses getting beat up by her! She has been in more parts of the house since Binga has been gone.
Run free sweet Binga. You have made me laugh so much over the years. You were a wonderful kitty. Big hugs xx
Binga we love you, your sassy tortitude, your funny antics, and everything else about you. Mom loves you from afar. She says you filled her heart with tortie love after the passing of our fursis Samantha 3 years ago. Mom’s sis even bought your coffee mug for our mom with a beautiful inscription on it. You too will live in our hearts forever honey. We only want the best of life for you. You all are in our prayers. I love you. Purrs
I’m so very sorry Binga is this poorly and that you’ll have to make such a heartbreaking decision. Absolutely the right thing to do, so you’re very brave and a purrfect human. We know Binga had a pawesome life. Safe and comfortable journey over the rainbow bridge, a-meow-zing Binga. ❤️️
