We were doing a video and photo session in front of the house early yesterday evening. I was having lots of fun, doing tricks and getting treats and such.
My human even worked in some glamor shots.
But an unexpected visitor caught my human’s attention! Weirdly, she saw the visitor before I did, and had to point me in the right direction for me to see it.
Can you see it? My human was worried if she moved it would run away. She was even holding her breath. Finally, she carefully moved a little bit closer. Which meant I had to move closer too, since my leash was attached to her wrist.
She got close enough to take a photo with the good camera that she was able to enlarge. The thing is, we never see rabbits in our yard! But apparently they do live around here. My human has lived in this house for almost 14 years, and in this neighborhood for 19, but she has only seen one once and it was at least half a mile from our house. She was amazed that this guy showed up in the middle of a photo session involving a human and a cat. Eventually he bounded off, his cottontail bouncing away.
Did I want to chase after it? Of course not! I was a little put out that it had interrupted my awesome photo session. I wanted to get back to work.
Plus treats. Duh.

I remember this Summer. He’s a cutie. I love bunnies
Awww Summer, I love bunnies. I used to have one who visited often eating the droppings from the bird feeders. They made us take them down claiming they draw bad rodents. Alas no more bunny. Sad
Lots of coyotes where I live. Bunnies and cats have to be on their toes around here or they end up as dinner for the howlers from the hills.
We’ve had a lot of bunnies this year also
Lots of Rabbits around here.

Those are some wonderful glamour shots and what a cute visitor. You deserved those treats Summer
Nice glamour shot, Summer! We love watching the bunnies here — especially Ava, who watches them intently for hours every day. 🙂
We see a lot of bunnies around our area, too…and they are often in the middle of the road at night…sheesh. Dd you hear our brakes screeching?
Awww bunny!!! I love bunnies. I see them more often here in the northeast
Bunneh!
I love your glamour shots! Cappuccino paid you a visit! Wouldn’t you like to live with a bunny like Harry and Sherpa?
Our mom sees bunnies and other creatures when she runs on the local trails. We can occasionally see them from our window. Cute little creatures.

We had a bunny in our yard this spring too but we haven’t seen him in awhile! Hope he’s okay.
That’s a cheeky fellow, fur sure.
We have bunnies here too, they are fun to watch!…XO…Halle, Sukki
What fun to have such a cute visitor. Such a cute little bunny. Bet you had fun seeing that too Summer.
That bunny must have here there was a supermodel working near by sweet Summer!
What a sweet visitor!
The Florida Furkids
I like that, “a treat in the hand is worth 2 bunnies in the bush” . 🙂
Hi, Summer!
Here in the northeast, when we stop seeing bunnies for a while it’s usually because the red foxes have returned!
Enjoy your summer! 🙂
We have so many coyotes here, I’m surprised there are bunnies at all. 🙁
Well, I’m sure the light was going and there was
only so much time for photos…and of course,
treats. But, it is nice to have such a surprise once
in a while.
We think that bunny wanted to photo bomb you Summer…a kindred spirit friend of Binga’s perhaps…What a lovely sighting. Purrs
SUMMER! Mom said she saw one this morning that let her get about 10 ft. away! You and she are lucky duckies.
What a cute little visitor, that bunny was probably there to see the celebrikitty in action!
Yesterday, while on my evening walk, a rabbit ran straight across the sidewalk in front of me…made me jump in surprise! Guess the guy across the street pulled out his watering hose, and the bunny decided to make tracks!
What a cute little bun. Glad you kept your distance.
Maybe that bunny wanted to be in the video too!
How nice! We have a lot of bunnies around here lately too. Never seen so many at one time.
How cool! We have lots of rabbits here. Momma says when she lived in Thousand Oaks, there were so many. Guess they call it the Conejo Valley for a reason.
The rabbit must have been looking for food. If you have a garden, keep an eye on it. Like a pro, Summer just focused on work (and treats.)
That was nice to see your visitor. You were lucky it didn’t photo bomb your photo shoot!
How cool to see a bunny. She even posed for you 🙂
WE understand that you would want to get back to work thought because…treats!!
