Have you heard about Hank the Cat’s senate campaign in Virginia? He is running as an independent against Republican George Allen and Democrat Tim Kaine, and even though both are former governors, I am sure Hank’s run is making them nervous because he is saying all the right things to pull in the votes. Although I am not one to endorse any political candidate, I think Hank is awesome, especially since his campaign is completely self-funded, and instead of donations for him, he requests that individuals give to several animal rescue organizations.
But as you probably have guessed, not everyone likes Hank’s positive message and there is already a smear campaign against him! I hope Hank does not let these accusations go unanswered.

If you pause on the last graphic, however, you will see the SuperPac that funded this scurrilous video, and I think you will agree that there are certain special interests behind it that do not have us kitties’ best interests at heart.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on the political happenings. HH lived in Virginia for most of her life before moving to Florida in 2000, so she will keep track of Hank now that she knows the situation. Have a great Sunday.

My human grew up in Virginia and now we live in Washington, DC so we have been following Hank’s campaign closely. Good luck to him and I hope those canines get what’s coming to them!

I’ll be endorsing Hank the Cat even though I don’t live in Virginia. I’ll use my star power to sway voters. I’m a little surprised that the Canines who ran the smear campaign didn’t bring up his gay staff cos ,outside of NY and CA, voters seem more concerned with gays than the REAL issues in our country.

I am terribly distressed by all the publicity he is getting. I had to fight very hard for my publicity back in 2008 when I ran for the presidency. No one wanted to cover me! Perhaps it was my socialist platform rather far to the left of now President Obama. I’m certain there was a conspiracy…
