Sunday Catinee: Black Cat PSA

Sparkle's Sunday Catinee

Today’s video is more cute than funny, but it also carries a powerful message about black cat adoption! As I have mentioned before, we are color blind here when it comes to cats, and there have been many black cats in my human’s family. I look forward to the day when everyone realizes how awesome house panthers are. Until then, here are 10 reasons to adopt a black cat — please share liberally!

Black cats are wonderful! When we lost Talia to CRF last year, it was the first time our head peep had been without at least one black cat in her entire adult life. We hope the video helps get more black cats adopted.

Black cats are thought of as lucky in the UK – Mum has had an all black cat before and she loves them – hers was called Max – he loved her and brought her lots of “presents”!!!

Gosh, that is such a great video. We love black cats and have 3 of them. They are just the greatest personalities too. What a cute kitten.

How precious and sweet and makes mommy want to run out there and get me a panfur sisfur or brofur. I won’t permit that as I am horrible when I see any kitty trying to be in my vicinity. But she can dream..I will let her do that. Mommy has had house panfurs quite often as she has grown up and older.

Superb video and excellent message. Our mom loves black cats; though, she’s only had one, Thelma. Her heart was broken when Thelma died at age 12 of congestive heart failure. Mom’s been trying to get another black cat ever since, but some other cat(s) always end(s) up walking into her life. But it will happen again one day. Have a great Sunday and upcoming week. We all love black cats. Mom says if she were choosing πŸ˜€ (and she isn’t being given a choice) she would have all combinations of black, white and black and white kitties.

Love the video. Pop always wanted a black cat but he never came across a black cat in the ‘hood and when the peeps started going to shelters, they didn’t have any either. He says someday.

Thank you, Sparkle, for raising awareness of the awesomeness of black cats such as myself. And I have to say that although as a 17-year-old cat I’m far too dignified to delight in the antics of kittens, I did find that particular kitten kind of not-awful. *purrrrrrrrrrrrr*

OMC! That is one of the cutest kitten ever! And what a cute little voice. We are going to have to watch it over and over. Of course, we love black cats, where would we be without our Carl?
