I’m still a bit chagrined that my human got to go to the Devo cat party and I didn’t. It was held at the Warner Brothers Records offices, located in a pretty neighborhood in Burbank, CA.
There was Devo merch for sale.
But you guys don’t really care about all that, do you? Of course not! You want to see the cats!
The group of 20 party cats was dominated by one guy who became known as King Orange. Check out how cool he is, flipping his tail to the music.
King Orange took over the blue Devo scratching tower for much of the day. To prove he was Top Cat, he even proceeded to do things there that are really better left private.
While there were several challengers throughout the day, no one could dethrone King Orange for long. Not every kitty was happy about this.
Of course, a party this awesome needed to be memorialized in song, and in this instance the song happens to be “Fresh”:

Wow what a party!! We wish WE could’ve gone… But that big orange cat that didn’t share the big awesome Devo kitty tower looks like he would’ve spoiled our fun, too – oh pooh!
