I always thought these automatic litterboxes are the worst idea ever. I can’t help but wonder how many elimination problems they’ve created in cats.
Would a human ever consider an automatic diaper changer? I think not. Have humans really gotten so lazy that they can’t manually clean out litterboxes?!
Haahahahahaha.
I disagree with Ingrid. With cats like Zoey, who poops and run, the litter box can be quite a stinkbomb if you are away at work. And having an automatic litterbox would keep Melvin from rolling in said poop. Maybe it’s just not for every kitty, but I honestly think it would work amazing in our situation!
@rumblepurr – I hear that in fancy nightclubs, humans have something called “washroom attendants.” Maybe they are kind of like the poop scooper you call Daddy? Like you, I prefer the manual scooper instead of the automatic version.
We only use ours when we go on vacation because we can’t ask our caretaker to scoop two times a day like we do–it just isn’t realistic. The first time we used it, the kids and the kitties would come running to watch it work. Now when we set it up, we sit with the kitties to reassure them to use it again.
I have always wanted one of those but am afraid the cats wouldn’t use it. The only thing worse than cleaning out the cat box is cleaning cat box outside of the cat box.
I’ve never tried the automatic boxes that are open like that, but, i have a LITTER ROBOT and i LOVE IT. I swear the company isn’t paying me, but it’s so awesome i can’t stop raving about it. it’s NOT cheap, but they let you do payment plans for 3 months.
HAHHAHA I wonder what kind of reactions some cats have to the flushing boxes

Those are wretched inventions and that clumping kitty litter is bad for kitties. Y’all kitties got to get together and stop them.
We have an automatic poop scooper here… we call him Daddy
heh heh heh
Those videos made our mommy laugh furry hard. We don’t see the humor in having an automatic pooper scooper at all.

I didn’t know they were so antagonistic! I couldn’t have one of these for Livvy, anyway… half our house isn’t even electrified yet. :-p

I would be far too scairted to use one of those!
We used to have one of those until we broke it. Wuhahahahhaa, we hate automatic litter boxes.

I wrote a post about my quest for the perfect, stylish litter box for a single city dweller.
Hope you check it out! It’s by far my most popular post!
