Did you know that February is Cat Appreciation Month? Neither did my human until a few days ago. I, of course, consider every month to be Cat Appreciation Month. In fact, I would like to designate every second as Cat Appreciation Second! I have no idea what the origins of Cat Appreciation Month are, and I really don’t think that’s important. What is important is making sure we cats get the appreciation that is due us — in February and every other month!
To ensure that Cat Appreciation Month is properly acknowledged and celebrated, I will devote every Friday in February to a new way to appreciate us cats. Any of you kitties out there with ideas are welcome to add your own!

In honor of Cat Appreciation month, our charity for February will be Caroline’s Kids Pet Rescue which is a home just for homeless cats of all kinds: kittens, feral, adoptable, old, and those with feline HIV too! We’ll donate 50 cents for each legitimate comment on our blogs during February. How’s that?

We agree, Sparkle…every second should be Cat Appreciation second. We wonder why they (whoever “they” is) picked February, the shortest month of the year?? Well, at least this year, February has an extra day!!

I’m so happy that I’m so appreciated by my Mom&DadKatt (esp. MomKatt) and I/we didn’t know Feb. was Cat Appreciation Month, either. But I’m glad it is! And you are right, of course, about every month … but then again, our furramilies & the folks that care for us DO appreciate us all year, every month!

It’s actually PET Dental Month, so dogs get to share in our pain. But let’s not talk about that. Maybe the humans will forget.

I agree, Sparkle. It is impossible to show too much appreciation to we kitties. EVERY month should be Cat Appreciation Month. And what’s with our sole CAM being held in February — the shortest month of the year? Are they trying to cheat us out a full 31-day month?

I didn’t know about the Cat Appreciation Month either. My human appreciates me everyday, whether it’s a short or long month. She spoils me and I love it.
Isn’t every month Cat appreciation month?? Criminy. And can you please tell my why my cats get mad when I kiss them and tell them how much I love them? Sheesh.
