Announcement: Victory Is Ours!
June is going to be a very exciting month for all kitties! And not just because June 24 is my birthday. It is actually a very special birthday for me because I am going to be 10!
Unfortunately, my human did not have anything fabulous to give me this year because she can’t afford the kind of cat tree I deserve, and she already got me a new house in 2006. So she thought very hard for a long time about how to make my birthday special, and she finally figured it out — she made my tenth birthday exceptional by declaring it:
Cat World Domination Day!
So not only do I get to celebrate my turning 10 on June 24, I also get to declare victory because we cats have taken over the world!
I know that some of you think we already have achieved World Domination, but it’s not official until there’s a day for it — and now there is! I even have graphics for it in three sizes — grab one if you want and display it proudly!
I will have several updates this month to let you know what is going to happen now that we have officially achieved World Domination, and what to expect on Cat World Domination Day (i.e., my birthday). It is going to be great!

I couldn’t believe you will be 10 years old. Dante also turned 10 earlier this year. I think 10 is the new 6.

Do you know what makes this day even MORE special? For one year, probably around 1959 or so, June 24 was the HUMAN’s birfday too.
Let me explain: My poor Human was born on December 24. And don’t get her started on what a crappy birthday that is because you will just NEVER be able to shut her up (You’re not special, No one cares that it’s your birthday, You only get one present, ad nauseam–you get the picture). Well! When she was 8 or 9, her mother took pity on her and said, You can pick a day–ANY day in the whole year, and we will declare it your birthday and you can have a party and it will be special and yada yada yada.
So the Human picked June 124 because it was the halfway point.
But you know what? It wasn’t her birthday, and the party was ho-hum and it wasn’t special because it wasn’t her birthday.
So she went back to her crappy birthday.
Why did I tell you this long boring story? I forget. Sorry.
Uh, not June 124. June 24. My secretary is a lame typist.
June 24th?? That’s already a long weekend around these parts, so we’ll all be free to celebrate. Or sleep through it. Either way, we’re down with that!

Oh My Cod! who knew a cat could declare a global domination day?? Well, actually, now that I think about it…why not! Cats Rule! Efurrybody knows that! HUH?! And on your B-Day…totally doubly nice! High Paw Pumps to you Mr Sparkle! We will drop by on your B-Day but Mom and Dad are doing whole day volunteering at fundraising event for my former shelter Contra Costa Humane Society…I will stay home…it is for dogs and dog walking…whew, dodged that bullet, I mean, errr, ummm….I’ll stay home to guard the house Mom, Ok?
