It finally got hot here. I think we were the last kitties in the U.S. to have summer. We were so hot today that we all just sprawled on the rug. We didn’t feel like moving, even though we have a bunch of things to do — toys to review, my new book to promote, etc.
You are probably wondering what that thing is by my head. It’s a plastic rat. I don’t know where it came from originally. I guess it got unearthed when my human was moving stuff to make room for the cabinet. Boodie probably dragged it out.
Even though it squeaks, it’s not much of a cat toy. Which is just as well. I am too hot to play.
Besides, it is really, really ugly.
I think it is slightly evil. So I’d better keep and eye, and a paw, on it.

We just got the heat too. Yesterday was brutal with 90 degree temps and 78% humidity which is like the Philippines. Of course it sparked off all kinds of storms and tornadoes. That rat looks very evil much better than my dead things though.

That is too bad the hear got to you. That mouse is very ugly, we have to agree with you. We brought Mom a real mouse this morning but it was deaded. We brought it up on the porch just for her. For some reason she didn’t like it.

The only thing good about that rat toy is the tail. It’s all about the tail anyway.
