Calling this “Garden Thursday” is kind of a misnomer, considering that the only thing I have to report about is the barely-there catnip plant out in one of the brick planters. I’m too ashamed to even give the secret knock. But you can tell by the look on my face that I have good news!
The catnip plant is still here! And it has even grown!
Admittedly, it is not big enough yet to take any leaves. But at this rate, it might actually get there some day. I just hope all the leaves don’t turn yellow like the ones on the bottom are.
You might be able to tell that my human even pinched it back a bit, so it would grow bushier! I like when she does that because she lets me sniff her fingers afterwards.
Paws crossed that my human doesn’t give it too much attention! That’s usually when plants start going downhill around here.

At least you got the real catnip plant. M bought something called catnint, which is okay, but not nearly as nice as real catnip. If catnip is anything like catmint, next year it will be taking over your garden.
We give your human an E for effort at least. Ours doesn’t even TRY to grow us anything. The cat grass that she brought home (already grown, mind you) barely lasted any time at all. Geez, you think it may have needed water and sun?????
I think it’s doing great! The only thing growing here is our flowering crabgrass!
I hope it grows! Do you have neighborhood cats who will steal your nip before it gets big though? I hate that.
The dog is usually out there and even though she likes cats, her presence discourages them. I guess she is good for something!

Your plant is doing a lot better than my window sill catnip plant is! OMC, it’s all brown and crunchy. I hope TW can save it.
Nip is supposed to be similar to a weed in the way it grows so there should be no worries about your human killing it and now it is growing more.

Our mum bought us a nip plant a couple of years ago and now it is huge.She thinks the garden centre sold her the wrong sort though because we both ignore it.

I’ve grown kind of jaded about mine. It’s near the kitchen window, but most of the time I really can’t be bothered. The Human started it from seeds and everything. Just for me! Heh heh

Wish my human mom would plant me some catnip. She picked up a bag of catnip from the store, it only lasts a few miutes and I lose interest. (Not the same as fresh.) When your plant gets bigger send some to me!!!!

The catnip plant is still there ? Strange are you sure that’s not something else, the cats would have eaten it already, my neighbor cats of course ! Strangely my cats don’t bother at all about catnip. I also could present a cactus.
