Secret Paws Debate!
I got my Secret Paws package and I am very excited to see what is inside, but my human and I are having a debate!
As you can see, it is from my friends Nikita and Elvira. Although I have never met them face to face, my human met their human last year when he came down to a book signing for my second book. That was before they moved to Houston. But there is a problem here.
It says, “Do not open until Catmas Day!” But when exactly is Catmas Day? My human believes it is the same day as Christmas, so I have to wait! I disagree. I think Catmas is any day I want it to be and I should be able to open it up right now!
So kitties, I need your help to finish off this debate once and for all! Is Catmas the same as Christmas, any day I want… or is it the same day as Festivus or something completely different? You vote below and tell me when I get to open my Secret Paws gift! Voting is open until Thursday night.

Poor you Sparkles! I wonder what’s in your package. I can see why you want to open it now, its always so hard to wait!
We are so glad our package didn’t have those instructions on them because Mom Paula let us open ours yesterday. We say you can open it anytime you want!

Mom told me that if we got a package like that we’d have to wait until the morning of Dec.25th…we can’t even rip in on Christmas Eve. That’s how my mom is. We have not got our Secret Paws package yet so we are not yet tempted. Sometimes it’s more fun to wait.

I think Catmas and Christmas are the same. And so is Xmas. It’s the day: December 25.
Everyday is Catmas, or Christmas, or Xmas…but only one day is the big celebration.
However, that’s all besides the actual point…which is how does one get in on this Secret Paws fun? We wanna play!
We always open presents on Catmas Eve-December 24th.

WE think Catmas Day should be any and every day we wish! Hoomins don’t think that way though.. and they do have the thumbs. This could be a problem.

Since the PURResent is for your you and your kitty furblings, you should be the ones who decide when to open it. You must get a feline consensus, though.
We voted for EVERY day…we wanted to vote 13 times, too…but Mommy is a poopyhead and said once was enough.

Technically, Catmas is feline Christmas so it’s the same day, but in our house we open gifts on Xmas eve or earlier if someone gets into their gift early. You’ll see our evidence tomorrow.

Mum opened the shipping box, but we haven’t been aloud to open the little wrapped prezzies inside.
Ok, so I am new to this stuff Sparkle, but here is how I see it…”Catmas Day” is probably EVERYDAY!…but then there is “Christmouse” Day and that is the same as human’s Xmas Day on Dec 25….then there is “Catmouse Day”…and that is sometime during the Festival of Lights” during Hanukkah…so that’s what a ‘newbie” at all this is going forward with…hope that helps, Paw pats, Savannah
All I know is George the Duck holds his big Catmas Eve pawty on December 24th. I do think it was very irresponsible of their Father, who otherwise is a very nice guy, to write that on the box. After all, aren’t you supposed to blog about it on the Secret Paws web site?
I am having the SAME EXACT PROBLEM! But guess what? MY package doesn’t even have any rules written on it AT ALL!!! But STILL she wants me to WAIT till it’s a little closer to Christmas. AS IF!!! I’m gonna have to take this up with the Purrlice.
Catmas day is every day! We kitties follow no rules and do as we like, so our Catmas day must be as free as we are. Carl (who is into peeing on things) says to pee on the box and your human won’t want it around, then you can open it. He’d be glad to pee on it for you, too. You know, in the spirit of Catmas.

Have a little discipline. The fun is in the anticipation. While I believe Catmas Day is Dec 25, in my family we get to open gifts on Catmas Eve, the 24th. So we get the anticipation but also a bit of relief for our curiosity. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.
