Angel, Isabella and Sadie over at Beaded Tail tagged me for a new photo game. What you’re supposed to do is open up your first photo folder, take the 10th photo down and post it on your blog, and tell the story behind it. Then you’re supposed to tag 5 more bloggers.
My human’s digital photo filing system is a bit obscure, especially the early pics, so instead of trying to decipher what goes where, I went to the main photo library folder and opened up the first folder inside, which happens to be titled “April 2004.” Which is pretty funny because the 10th photo down is dated December 16, 2003 (see what I mean about my human’s photo filing system?). This is from our old house. I am not quite a year and a half old in the photo, and Boodie was a year older than that.
For the first couple of years I came to live with my human, Boodie and I were really good friends. We’d hang out and nap together and play together and sometimes she would even let me beat her up, the same way Binga beats her up to this day (I think she kind of likes being beat on, actually!). But one day she was taken away to get her teeth cleaned, and when she came back she didn’t smell like herself and I attacked her for real. It kind of freaked her out. She got over it eventually the first time, but it happened a couple more times over the years, and while we’re still friends, we’re not as close as we used to be.
But I’ll let you in on a little secret about why I liked hanging around with Boodie so much when I moved in here: she tastes good!

Awww! Sweet pictures!! It’s sad when once best friends aren’t as close anymore. We know all about that right now.
It took us a minute to figure out who was missing from the line up…..Saylor. That’s ok, she’s kinda new!

Those are great photos. Sparkle you were so cute when you were younger. You still are cute but kittens are always so extra cute. That looks like a fun game and I am glad you got to do it. Have a great day.
Oh, those are sweet pictures! Victor says I taste good, too. Mom says that thing with cats not being friends after going to the vet happens a lot. Rubbing both cats with the same towel might help restore the vetted cat’s “family” scent after the vet visit. I think I’m like Boodie; I don’t mind letting Victor dominate me.

I’m sorry you and Boodie are not as close as you used to be. Those are such cute pictures! I am going to see if my Mommeh will help me do this meme! We only get to work on making new posts on her days off Tuesday and Sunday. Jobs are No Fun.
That sounds like a fun game….Mom has tried counting several different ways but nothing turns up cat photos…we will see what we can do.

I had no idea about the teeth cleaning and smell associations! I wonder if that’s why I feel like punching Hubs after he’s eaten Bratwurst….. hmm
@Rebecca Wow, I had NO idea it also applied to humans! Although it sounds more like it happens BEFORE the teeth cleaning…
Yeah, nobody comes back from the vet smelling very good. Even the cat carrier stinks!! I always leave the carrier out when we come home so the other kitty can smell all the smells. It sorta helps with the transition.
Is that an Abyssinian cat mix on the right, what a beautiful cat. I miss having cats, I grew up with cats in my household and have lived with cats for the first 28 years of my life practically, almost never without one. Now I only have a single Boston Terrier dog.
I am actually a Somali, which is related to an Abyssinian. Our fur is longer and we have fluffy tails, but yes, we originate from Abys. I feel badly for you – everyone needs a kitty!
