There are two things I do on a monthly basis here on my blog. One is I review a book.
The other thing is my advice column. Every month I take a problem that a cat has written to me about, and I find a solution. I’ve been called the “Dear Abby of the feline world” by fellow cat author Quasi.
I started my advice column in September of 2003, about nine months after I was first online. It turned out to be one of the most popular sections of my site, so three years later, I put my advice columns together, added photos to illustrate each problem and made a book.
All this finally got the attention of a publishing company called Adams Media, and they wanted me to put together a new book of advice —
I wish I could put a book out every month, but that would probably be an awful lot of work!

Sparkle, You are the most awesome cat I have ever heard of. Your talents are second to none. Someone told me that I wouldn’t like you if I met you (I won’t name any names cause I don’t want your feelings to be even more hurt) but I think that person might be wrong. I’d love to meet you. And I think I would fall fast head over heels for you. I think you’re one of those purrfect cats, who are very far and few between.
Oh how exciting! We would like to get a copy when it comes out. If we send a copy to you, would you pawtograph it for us??

Yes, of course I can pawtograph them! I usually send personally pawtographed bookplates, so you don’t have to actually send me the book.
