I’m combining Flashback Friday and Photo Hunt today because Saturday I’m posting about National Feral Cat Day’s 10 year anniversary. Besides, I have the perfect thing for this week’s Photo Hunt theme of miniature, and it is a flashback from five years ago:
“What IS that piece of junk?” you are probably asking. Believe it or not, it is supposed to be a small plush rendition of a Somali cat. Here’s the tag as proof, in case you don’t believe it.
A few years ago, McDonald’s was giving away miniature cat breed toys in its Happy Meals and my human was so excited because one of the breeds was Somali. She desperately wanted one but there were a couple of problems: 1) she almost never eats at McDonald’s and 2) the promotion was coming to an end. So she did the only logical thing… logical for an insane person, that is: She bought one on eBay. In fact, she was out of town, and even had it delivered to the place she was staying! That’s how anxious she was to have it.
You can see how not-anxious I was to pose with it when my human brought it home.
And guess what? She still has it.
I was hoping it would get lost when we moved.

It’s cute, but not nearly as cute as Miss Sparkle!
I think it is very cute! I’m glad my Mommeh didn’t know about that promotion or she would have spent all of our moneys on Happy Meals (and she is vegetarian!)
Oh gosh, Sparkle, our Mom is laughing so hard, I think she wet herself. She is very norty. Anyway, that little cute thing is very cute. MOL. Your Mom is just a little silly herself buying that darling thing on Ebay but guess what our Mom would do the exact same thing. She loves stuffed animals. Too funny. Well it is cute but it’s also obvious they didn’t use a beautiful model for it like you Sparkle! We’re afraid our mommy would have bought a mini kitty from McDonald’s if she had known they were there too.

Pee Ess: Mommy meant to tell you our bookmark came last week and we’ve got it in our book! It’s nice to have a matched set, ‘specially if you’re OCD like our Mommy.
My human holds on to stuff like that. We still have a small stuffed Siamese too… sigh.
Our mom has done stupid stuff like that too. She actually bought some black cat beanie babies off of ebay because she was too lazy to go to the stores to see if they had them. Sheesh…..

I always buy the McD’s toys on eBay, if I can’t get them in person. The ones here, though, you can actually just buy the toy without the food.
