This photo of me was pure luck. I was a kitten, probably about 5 months old, and while my human was taking pictures of me, I charged straight at the camera. How she got the focus right, and the manual flash and exposure correct, I’ll never know. She didn’t even have a digital back then. She was using an old-fashioned film camera.
My human sent the photo in to the annual magazine, Cats USA, for its contest for the 2004 issue… and it won First Place! When she got the check in the mail, she thought there was some mistake!
So from a very young age, I have been an award-winning supermodel. My human has taken lots of pictures, but only the ones with me in them ever win awards.

I only got one toy, but it was a 5-foot tall cat tree! Plus, a year’s worth of cat food was part of the prize too.
