One of the reasons we have housekeepers is because housework makes my human sick. Literally. Yesterday, she had to dust off a dirty old armoire that had been sitting around unused in the enclosed patio, and not long after that her nose became completely congested and she has been sick most of today. This is actually a good thing because when she is “out of it” like this, I can do sneaky things, like continuing my efforts to make sure that cats take over the world. My current attempt at a coup involves Fast Company‘s “Influence Project.”
In case you don’t know what Fast Company is, it’s a business magazine that is both online and on paper, and it’s on the geeky side. Which explains its Influence Project — through audience participation on a rather unwieldy website, it intends to answer the question, “Who is the most influential person online?”
I would like to see the answer be… a cat!
So here is how it works: go to the Influence Project via this link: http://fcinf.com/v/dxtn/welcome
Clicking on my link above helps raise my influence. If you register on Fast Company‘s Influence Project site, it’s even more meaningful because I’ve inspired you to take action! (If you are registering, make sure you have a photo handy that is fairly large in size, around 1MB or at least 800×800 pixels, if you know what that means). When you register, and if you inspire other cats to register, it helps raise both my influence and yours. Plus your photo, along with everyone else’s will be in Fast Company‘s November issue.
Cats are making headway! As of the time I posted, I am on level 12 of 50, and my friend Gracey (the Tiniest Tiger) is on level 11 of 50! But wouldn’t it be nice to have a whole army of cats sprinkled across Fast Company‘s Influence Project?
Now you know and I know that we cats are already very influential — we have raised loads of money for charity and recently, through the power of the internet, kitties all over the world helped save the life of a sweet black kitty in Georgia (and the lives of several other cats too!). And that’s the most important thing. But it would be nice to get humans to admit that we rule, and if enough kitties sign up at the Influence Project site, they will have no choice!
One warning — the Influence Project site is slow, especially if you have a computer that does not have the latest operating system. But if you can muddle through the loading part, it’s pretty fun! So click on my link now — http://fcinf.com/v/dxtn/welcome — before my human’s sinuses clear up and she discovers what I am doing!
