A kitty’s work is never done!
My human found out that next month, on Saturday February 19, Best Friends Animal Society is featuring a fabulous event! It’s called The aCATemy Awards and it’s starring over 200 adoptable shelter cats! This includes city shelters (such as the one Binga came from!), so if you live in the Los Angeles area and you care about kitties, you will really want to spread the word about this! It will be happening at the Hotel Palomar, in Westwood (on the west side of L.A.), and will run from 11 AM to 6 PM. There will be raffles and giveaways, which is why I am surrounded by my books and their promotional materials!
When my human found out about the event, she immediately asked if they were doing any giveaways because she wanted to offer pawtographed copies of my books. It turned out they were having a raffle and were looking for items to put into gift baskets — plus they were putting together goodie bags and wanted to know if I had any promotional materials I wanted to put in them. You know I did! So I had my human gather together some bookmarks and postcards to drop off at the Best Friends offices at Fixnation, along with the pawtographed copies of my books.
I am hoping that the humans behind The aCATemy Awards make their goal, which is getting every cat there adopted! So please help spread the word to your L.A. friends — and if you live in L.A., save the date!

that is spectacular!! how neat to be a part of this event. you seem to be healping getting the materials all gathered up and in place. such a good helper. we need events like this around our area. we wish you the best and hope all cats get adopted!! adoption is awesome : ) good job !

That sounds like a super event and something that should be held in more places. We really like that Best Friends place. They do so much good work all over the place. That is great that your books are going to be in the gift baskets. Hope all the animals get adopted. Have a fantastic week end.
