When it comes to cat toys, you humans can be kind of lame. Sure, bring home a
fuzzy mouse and we'll bat it around for five minutes, but then it gets lost under the couch.
Besides, fuzzy mice get boring really fast. Get us some cat toys with novelty and excitement,
cat toys that will interest us for at least ten minutes or so. Here are some of my own favorite
interactive cat toys - and a couple of cat toys I wish my human would get me (hint, hint). If
you want more choices, use the PETsMART
search box at the bottom of the page.

Peek-A-Prize Toy Box
To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this toy. Sure, I love sticking my paws into places where they probably
don't belong and trying to catch a cool prize. On the other hand, I think it's a little cheap that they only include
two toys to begin with. You'd better buy the replacement balls too, and toss in a few treats while you're at it if
you want to keep your kitty happy. |

Kitty Go Crazy Interactive Toy
This thing says it's "three toys in one, and at first I thought that'd be kind of confusing -
I mean, which toy should I start with first? Then I read further and it said that it has an
electronic arm with different attachments. So thankfully, you just have one at a time -
we kitties get confused easily! |

Cat Spa
I haven't had the chance to try out this
Cat Spa, but it looks fun! Acupressure pads, Gum Stimulator, Body Stroke Groomers - I could spend all
day rolling around on something like this! |

Cat Dancer
Every cat I've ever met loves this toy!
The premise is simple - it's just wire with rolled up paper strips attached. But no cat can resist it.
Come to think of it, a friend of my human's does something similar with bass strings. But if you're not
a bass player, I guess this is the next best thing. |

Panic Mouse
This electronic interactive cat toy has some state-of-the-art design that's supposed to make the object
move randomly in a "mouse-like" way. That's fine... except why does it look like a spider then? You humans
are really rather dense. Requires three "AA" batteries (not included - just so you know).

Swizzle Bird Teaser from Cats with an Attitude
Here's another ruling cat toy! A long
fuzzy tail on a wand is prime play material to start off, but add feathers at the end and you've got
something no cat can possibly resist! Want some excitement around your house? Get this toy!

Miracle Beam Laser Toy
My dumb human didn't understand the
appeal of this toy until she was playing with a flashlight one day and all us cats started chasing the
beam. A laser's better because it's ultra-bright and concentrated. So let that be a lesson - when it
comes to cat toys, don't listen to humans - pay attention to what we cats have to say! |

Heard That Bird? Cat Toys
Sounds are important to us cats. Why do you think something so mundane as a crinkle ball gets our attention?
But this is much better than a cheap crinkle ball - these plush toys chirp like birds whenever we start
batting it around! I do take affront to the ad copy on PetSmart's page, however: "She'll go crazy thinking
it's the real thing!" Trust me, we know the difference between a toy and a real bird. Comes with
either a door clamp or a wand. (I prefer wands myself.) |
