As you know, I'm a connoisseur of cat trees and other cat furniture. I
looked through the PetSmart site for what I consider to be the best they've got. If
you want more choices, use the PETsMART
search box at the bottom of the page.

PETCO 5 Level Kitty Tower in Birch
A cat tree like this could keep me busy for days. There are two different scratching surfaces -
sisal and carpet, multiple levels to hang out on, a hideaway cubby for privacy and it looks pretty
sturdy, which is good if two or more cats want to play on it at the same time. No home with a cat should
be without this cat tree. |

Lazy Days Cat Lounger
I'm not so sure how lazy I could be with this low-hanging cat tree - I can just imagine Binga swinging in
the sherpa hammock, ready to spring out and attack. But that hammock does look comfy for whichever cat
gets to it first. And the consolation perches - the crow's nest and platform - look pretty cool tool. The
breakaway toy is definitely a plus, although I have to admit that "breakaway" is probably the key word here. |

Classi-Cat Treehouse
This cool cat tree has a scratching surface for just about any cat! Sisal, carpet or wonderfully-scented
cedar - they're all here! And there's also a variety of perches. The lowest has a comfy faux lambswool
covering (for you humans who are fur-averse), a nicely curved middle level and a peek-a-boo tunnel top.
It comes in your choice of swatches so it doesn't clash with your treasured "decor." Plus, according to
the Drs. Foster and Smith description, it "assembles in minutes with a single tool," which means even the
densest human can put it together. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the inevitable "breakaway toy." This one
is definitely a winner. |

Pastime Suite
This is certainly a pretty little cat tree, with its paw print hideaway, but I'll let you humans in on a
little secret - we don't care a whisker about looks! The thing could be as ugly as the backside of a dog
and we'd still like it if it had the right stuff. And this compact 30" tall tree has the goods. A sherpa
nest and fleece condo offer all the comfort we could want and the sisal post is just begging to be scratched.
Plus there's that "breakaway toy" again (do yourself a favor and just take it and fling it across the room
for us to chase). And it won't hurt humans' eyes when it sits in the sunniest spot in their living room.

Kitty Castle
We cats rule your lives, so of course you must get us a castle. This cat tree is over 5 feet high, with
lots of room for playing, sleeping and battling it out to see who gets the tunnel. Sisal and carpet practically
beg to be scratched, and sherpa seating is always a pleasure. Treated with a heavenly catnip scenet. Oh,
and do stock up on those breakaway toys
- your cat will lose hers right away, I can almost guarantee it.

Deluxe Cat Trees
We have high, peaked ceilings in my house, so we're out of luck when it comes to these cat trees, but if
your ceiling is up to 8 feet high, they'll be perfect for your house - there is even a mega-extension
option if your ceiling is 9 feet high. There are two options here, the deluxe and the mega-deluxe. As you
will probably guess, I am going to recommend the mega-deluxe. It's got the cooler crow's nest. |
