Scratching Posts and Cat Scratchers
You humans just don't understand the scratching thing. I assume this is
because you don't have claws. Poor you. There's nothing that feels so good as digging your
claws into something and pulling. It's exquisite. So you guys need to get us cats as many
scratching surfaces as possible. Otherwise we'll claw your couch, box springs and any
other surface with a nice texture. Consider this a warning. If
you want more choices, use the PETsMART search box at the bottom of the page.

Deluxe Sisal Scratching Post
I don't know if I'd exactly call this a
deluxe scratching post - it looks pretty standard to me. I guess the deluxe part has something to do with
the sisal - an active cat can really tear apart the usual carpet-type material, and sisal's a lot
more durable. Me? I don't care - just give me something to scratch! If this thing lasts longer, then
that's a human benefit, not a cat benefit.

Platform with Sisal Post and Toy
Well, this one is almost deluxe - it's got the sisal, and it's got a platform, and it's got a
toy hanging off it! Oh, and the descriptions says it's "made entirely from recylcled materials so it
is 'Earth Friendly'." I know how wasteful you humans can be, so here's a chance for you to redeem yourselves.

|
Corner Scratcher
Now this looks very interesting! This
sisal with carpet border scratcher fastens onto a handy corner with two nails (nails not included).
That way we can get in some good, long back stretches along with our scratching. Mmmmm - it feels
good just thinking about it!

Whisker City Play Cavern Scratcher
My human really loves these things because
they're cheap and we use them. She doesn't notice that while we're using them, we're grumbing, "Stupid,
cheapskate human won't buy us a decent cat tree and thinks this is just as good - ha!" Okay, I admit
we do like this scratcher. It's catnip scented, and I love ripping out the toy that's hidden in the
hole. My human likes it 'cause she says it keeps me busy.

|
Deluxe Carpeted Scratching Post
Ah, here's another "deluxe" reference.
These people certainly have a different definition of "deluxe" than I do! I'd call this "Absolutely Basic,
Plain Wrap Scratching Post for Humans with Small Wallets and Even Smaller Imaginations." But I guess
it's all a cat really needs. I'm sure you cat has some frustrations he'll need to express, and this
scratching post is the perfect victim for him to express himself on.

Whisker City Scratcher with FREE Toys
Now, I like this idea - a scratcher that
comes with toys! Being a cat, I don't really care about the "free" part - we don't need money like you
humans do. Toys I understand. Scratching I understand. Toys and scratching are good. Free? I guess if
it appeals to you humans, that's okay too.
