Minor Tragedies and Annoyances
Every few weeks my human gets a big stack of papers in the mail and she has to do something called "copy editing." Binga always gets really excited because she likes to help. My human does not think Binga makes a good assistant copy editor. |
In spite of the fact that Binga can be bossy I do feel sorry for her at times, having to work so hard. All Boodie and I need to do is sit around and look pretty. And yes, I know I'm being catty. Duh, I'm a cat. |
My human's boyfriend was out of town for the better part of the month. As usual, Binga helped him pack.
So he missed the big news of September - the wooden shutters came off the window. This was not intentional on my human's part - I heard her muttering something about nails coming out.
She was all happy that nothing else broke when the shutters came down. Nothing else of hers, that is. It trashed my Easter presents. Actually that wasn't such a big tragedy since most of them kind of sucked. But I knew there was bad news lurking under that big pile of deadwood. |
And I was right - the shutters smashed my beloved cat tunnel and now it is completely bent out of shape.
Instead of dealing with the shutters, my human packed her bags and left for a few days. Binga didn't care, but Boodie helped her pack. Boodie loves doing this, since it means she can shed her light-colored fur all over my human's dark outfits.
She also left a few tufts of fur on the suitcase itself for good measure.
I didn't really care about the packing, but there was a really cool red ribbon on the suitcase handle that I enjoyed chewing on.
I hate it when my human takes these trips because I know what she is doing. She says she is going to hang out with her boyfriend, but the truth is she is really visiting other cats. This time around, she brought photographic evidence of her transgression. |
My human returned in less than a week, but her boyfriend was only back for one day before taking off again in a Winnebago with four other guys. So the heavy wooden shutters are still sitting on the living room floor, taking up a lot of the best places for sunning. Luckily I am a small cat, so there is still room for my naps.
