Cat Books - From a Cat's Point of View
Feng Shui for Cats by Cats, for Cats
Edited by Roni Jay
As you probably already know, cats are feng shui personified. In fact, no room is properly feng
shuied without a cat. We always immediately know the exact place to sit or lie down that is most
beneficial to an area's chi. If it happens to be a human's favorite comfy chair or a newspaper that
is being read, too bad. Chi is far more important than human whims. So this book is almost unnecessary,
considering that we cats are already all feng shui experts. I believe the cats who wrote this book
did so just to show off their vast knowledge, and perhaps to also put their editorially minded human
to work. (The latter part I fully understand. I do the same with my human.) In any case, this little
book covers all the basics - learning the directions of your territory, and modifying your
surroundings to create a happy, harmonious home. Remedies such as leaving doors open, removing human
clutter or adding our own little touches (such as body parts of recently deceased prey) can do much
to encourage humans to correct bad feng shui. But of course we already know that - to get rid of a
bad piece of furniture that is blocking the chi, it's easy enough to claw it to shreds; getting the
litter box moved to a more appropriate area is quite a natural process. I think humans may find all
this interesting reading. Most cats will probably find it just a tad redundant.
