Cat Books - From a Cat's Point of View
The Best Cat in the World

I was a little surprised to discover that this book is not about me! But I liked the fact that it
had loads of pictures, and it only took my human about 15 minutes to read it to me. It's about a
little boy whose beloved cat dies and how he deals with the cat's death. I thought it was going to be
depressing but it wasn't because eventually he winds up with a kitten and learns to love it too. The
one thing that disturbed me is that the new kitten was a tortoiseshell, like Binga, and she did a lot
of the same things Binga did - lick humans on the chin, play with shoelaces and the like. "Wow," I
thought, "is this kid gonna have a handful when that kitten grows up!" But of course, they don't get
into that in the book. Maybe they will have a sequel.
